Professional Experience:
Dr. Li has been focusing on the field of free-electron radiation devices and terahertz devices. He experimentally realized a hyperbolic metamaterial based on 2D materials such as graphene. He experimentally observed the terahertz threshold-less Cherenkov radiation based on hyperbolic metamaterial. He also developed the terahertz Cherenkov radiation chip, which is the first free-electron terahertz source combining the on-chip integration and wide-range tunability. The chip has tunable range comparable to that of the large-scale terahertz source based on accelerators, while its size is smaller by three to five orders of magnitude.
