On July 2, 2024, Ms. Wenhua Li, Deputy Mayor of the Shijingshan District Government, led a delegation including Mr. Xi Jia, Director of the District Science and Technology Committee of the Zhongguancun Shijingshan Park Management Committee, Mr. Hang Fu, Director of the Management Committee’s Comprehensive Service Center, Mr. Gongmeng Liang, General Manager of Shijingshan Modern Industry Fund Company, Mr. Bin Wang, a cadre of the Industry Promotion Section of the Science and Technology Committee, Mr Zhuan Yu, Chairman of Beijing Zhongguancun Industrial Internet Industry Development Co., Ltd., and Mr. Liwei Liu, Professional Manager of the Industrial Investment Promotion Department, to visit our laboratory for exchange and communication.

Prof. Yidong Huang introduced the Department of Electronic Engineering and the research achievements of our laboratory. Prof. Hao Sun reported on the proposal for jointly construction of the testing innovation center for optoelectronic technology, and Prof. Fang Liu introduced the terahertz laboratory and the industrial application of related technologies. The leaders of Shijingshan District highly recognized and valued the scientific and technological achievements and the proposals for cooperation. They introduced the resources of Shijingshan District, Zhongguancun Shijingshan Park, Industrial Internet company, and Modern Industry Fund, and expressed their hope to introduce high-quality resources from Tsinghua University to assist in the rapid transformation of the industrial base in Shijingshan Park. Subsequently, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on topics such as jointly establishing laboratories and cooperation in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

The importance of cooperation was further strengthened during the exchanges. Both sides expressed their commitment to fully integrate their respective strengths and conditions, actively promote in-depth cooperation on relevant technologies and industrialization. Both sides will further explore more cooperation possibilities to jointly promote technological innovation and industrial development in the field of optoelectronics, contributing to the regional economic development.
