Research Experience
Dr. Hao Sun is dedicated to addressing the fundamental technical challenges and critical issues associated with the development of on-chip active devices in integrated photonic chips. Her extensive research efforts have led to significant advancements in several areas, including low-power silicon-based nanolasers, low-threshold optical gain mechanisms, and high-gain on-chip optical amplifier, etc. These original contributions have results in numerous publications in prestigious journals such as Nature Photonics, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, and Light: Science & Applications. She has also led and participated in numerous research projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the National Key R&D Program of China, etc.
