Ph.D candidate Zhexuan Wang and Hongteng Lin attended the Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics 2024 (CLEO 2024) and won the Poster Honorable Mention
From May 5 to May 10, 2024, the Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO) was held in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. Organized by Optica (formerly the Optical Society of America, OSA), CLEO is the world's largest and most influential academic conference in the field of lasers and electro-optics. The conference covers topics ranging from fundamental research to industrial applications and enjoys a high reputation in academia and industry.
Doctoral students Zhexuan Wang and Hongteng Lin presented posters titled "Free Electron Emission from Two-dimensional Material Heterostructures (JTh2A.8)" and "Two-Photon Process in Free Electron Radiation (JW2A.185)" respectively, sharing the laboratory's recent research progress in optoelectronic devices and theory with international peers.
The conference featured an outstanding poster competition (APS-DLS CLEO Student Poster Awards) among nearly 450 submitted posters, awarding first, second, and third prizes, as well as two Honorable Mentions. After two rounds of selection, Zhexuan Wang was awarded an Honorable Mention, marking the first time a poster from our laboratory has received an award in CLEO.
