Professional Experience

Dr. Xiong’s main research interests include nonlinear optics, optomechanical crystals, and metamaterials/metasurfaces, etc. He has extensive experience in the design, fabrication, and testing of nano-photonic chips, and was selected as a Shuimu Scholar of Tsinghua University in 2022. He proposed the snapshot hyperspectral imaging chip at the first time. The work is published in Optica, the flagship journal of the Optical Society of America, which was also recognized as the latest micro-spectrometer achievement by Science (“Miniaturization of optical spectrometers”, doi: 10.1126/science.abe0722).
