"Science and technology is the foundation of a country's prosperity, and innovation is the soul of national progress." On the evening of April 13th, the second forum of "University" series -- "University • Innovation" was held in Tsinghua College. Prof. Yidong Huang, as the vice chairman of the academic committee of the university, served as the moderator of the forum.Scientific and technological innovation should be“oriented towards the forefront of science and technology in the world, to the main economic battlefields, to the major needs of the country, and to the lives and health of the people". Focusing on this, the forum invited Prof. Yadong Li from the Department of Chemistry, Prof. Zuoyi Zhang from the Institute of Nuclear Research, Prof. Xiaoyun Wang from the Institute of Advanced Research, and Prof. Jiahong Dong from the School of Clinical Medicine to interpret university innovation together. After the guest lecture, Prof. Yidong Huang organized a conversation with guests surrounding the subjects of original innovation, industry-academy cooperation, international exchange, and personnel training. 

The forum was broadcast online worldwide, attracting about 1.3 million participants to watch according to statistics.
