On April 24, 2021, Associate Professor Fang Liu was invited to deliver a report entitled "Narrow-linewidth Terahertz Source based on Coherent Smith-Purcell Radiation" in the "Annual Meeting of National Terahertz Biophysics Society". He introduced the world's first miniatized high-order coherent Smith-Purcell terahertz radiation source recently developed by our lab. Compared with the traditional free electron terahertz source, the linewidth is narrowed by more than 2-3 orders of magnitude, which is expected to greatly improve the resolution of terahertz imaging.

This annual meeting was held in Tianjin on April 23-25, 2021, respecting academic freedom, innovation and development, and fully exchange academic new cognition, ideas, theories, achievements, and discoveries in the fields of terahertz biophysics and biotechnology. Academician Guozhi Liu served as the consultant of the conference, and Academicians of Zihe Rao, Jianquan Yao, Songlin Zhuang, Peiheng Wu, and Yirong Wu, served as the co-chairman of the conference. Academicians of Tiejun Cui, Ruxin Li, Hongxing Xu, and Runsheng Chen delivered speeches. More than 400 experts and scholars from domestic universities, research institutions, professional associations, and technology companies attended the conference.
