From Apr. 19 to 21, 2023, International Conference on Nano-photonics and Nano-optoelectronics 2023 (ICNN2023) was held in Yokohama, Japan. Prof. Wei Zhang was  invited and gave a talk with the title of “Silicon quantum photonic circuits for quantum entanglement distribution networks”, introducing our recent research progresses on entanglement distribution networks based on silicon quantum photonic chips and their application on large scale QKD networks. Ph. D candidate Jingyuan Zheng gave a poster presentation with the title of “A photon-counting reconstructive spectrometer with tailored cascaded superconducting nanowire single-photon detector array”, introducing our recent research about hybrid integration of superconducting nanowire single photon detectors on the silicon photonic chips. Our works attracted much attentions, generating deep discussions.

ICNN2023 is held as part of the OPTICS & PHOTONICS International Congress 2023 (OPIC'23), and is sponsored by the Institute for Nano Quantum Information Electronics (NanoQuine), The University of Tokyo. The chair of this conference is Prof. Yasuhiko Arakawa, The University of Tokyo. This conference brought together likeminded researchers working in the areas of nano-photonics and nanooptoelectronics, and provide ample opportunities for peer-interaction, discussion and communication.
