On the afternoon of July 15, 2021, Prof. Yidong Huang, Prof. Fang Liu and Prof. Kaiyu Cui visited the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei National Technology Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Center"). Duoxiang Wang, director of the Center, introduced the operation mode, successful cases and future planning of the Center. Shanhong Xia, director of the Center's Institute of Optoelectronics Technology, and Xiaojun Wu, deputy director of the Center, accompanied by visiting the case of scientific research results to product development. During the exchange session, Prof. Yidong Huang introduced the basic information of the Department of Electronic Engineering and the industrial transformation of the scientific research achievements of the Department. Prof. Fang Liu and Prof. Kaiyu Cui showed the latest scientific research achievements of extremely narrow linewidth terahertz source and spectral imaging chip respectively. The two sides held preliminary discussions on industry-university-research cooperation and will continue to have in-depth communication.

In December 2020, at the seventh plenary meeting of Beijing Office of Promoting the Construction of Science and Technology Innovation Center, the first national comprehensive technology innovation center "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei National Technology Innovation Center" was inaugurated. The center will focus on technological innovation and achievement transformation, build a bridge between universities (institutes) and market demand, provide the source of technology supply for the regional development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, train innovative and entrepreneurial talents for the regional development, and provide innovative services for small and medium-sized enterprises.
