The 2nd Graduates Gatherings of Nano-Optoelectronics Laboratory

On the morning of October 16, 2021, the second graduates gatherings of our laboratory was held in Beijing. More than 30 graduates from all over the country take part in the gatherings.

Prof. Yidong Huang, Wei Zhang, Xue Feng, Fang Liu and several senior doctoral students attended the gatherings. Prof. Yidong Huang introduced the development process of the laboratory in the past year in the aspects of cutting-edge research, industrial transformation of achievements, cooperation with local governments and leading enterprises, and said that while promoting high-level scientific research and talent training, the laboratory will try its best to build the optoelectronics industry ecology, and build a career development platform for graduates. She hopes the graduates pay attention to participate, gather strength, and jointly promote the development of China's optoelectronics industry. Prof. Wei Zhang, Xue Feng, and Fang Liu respectively introduced the latest international leading research achievements and industrialization in quantum network/quantum integrated chip, optical computing/optical orbital angular momentum chip, free electron radiation chip/ultra-narrow line width portable terahertz source. Dr. Di Qu, CEO of H-Chip Technology Group and Dr. Yu Wang, CEO of Seetrum introduced the rapid development and growth of the company in the past year. Dr. Xiangdong Li disclosed the preparatory work for the establishment of the third industrial transformation company of the laboratory. Afterwards, the graduates introduced their career development one by one, showing their common pursuit of excellence and enterprising style in different positions. Souvenirs such as handbags made by the lab for the gathering and EE T-shirts are popular with attendees.

We hope that the annual graduates Gatherings can become a platform for graduates of our laboratory to exchange information and share, and play a positive role in promoting the development of graduates’ career and the laboratory.
