On December 11th, Shan Zhang, Jinyu Li, and Hongbo Zhu, PhD students in our laboratory successfully completed their doctoral dissertation defense. The defense committee was organized in the form of an online meeting. Prof. Xiaoping Zheng from the Department of Electronics, Tsinghua University served as the chairman of the defense committee. The members of the defense committee were Prof. Guofeng Song from Institute of Semiconductors of CAS, Prof. Jinjun Feng from the 12th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group, Prof. Jianjun Zhang from Institute of Physics of CAS, and Prof.  Yidong Huang, Prof. Fang Liu, Associate Prof. Xue Feng and Associate Prof. Kaiyu Cui from our laboratory.

The three students presented their paper reports and completed their defense on the topics of "Integrated quantum light source with switchable orbital angular momentum", "Miniaturized terahertz coherent Smith-Purcell radiation and frequency comb device", and "Near-infrared hyperspectral imaging chip" respectively. The defense committee unanimously approved their dissertation defense and recommended that the three students be awarded the degree of Doctor of Engineering.
