Prof. Wei Zhang attended “2nd China Metamaterials Conference” and delivered an invited talk at May 13-14, 2023. The topic of his talk was “Photon-counting reconstructive spectrometers utilizing superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors and photonic metasurfaces”.

The “2nd China Metamaterials Conference” is jointly sponsored by the Metamaterials Branch of the Chinese Materials Research Society, the Dielectric Physics Professional Committee of the Chinese Physical Society and the Components Branch of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, and is organized by Nanjing University, Southeast University, Nanjing Normal University and Jiangsu Optical Society. As the highest academic forum in the field of metamaterials in China, a number of leading companies in the field of equipment for special materials, top experts from universities and research institutes in the field of new materials, gathered together to communicate and discuss the technical frontiers, development strategies and commercialization paths of various types of metamaterials, such as electromagnetic metamaterials, terahertz metamaterials, and optical metamaterials.
