From Jul. 7 to 10, 2023, the 3rd Quantum Optics Science and Technology Conference (第三届全国光量子科学与技术学术会议) was held in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. Ph. D candidate Dongning Liu gave a poster presentation with the title of “Controllable Entanglement Distribution Network Chip”, introducing our recent research about entanglement distribution networks based on silicon quantum photonic chips. Ph. D candidate Jingyuan Liu gave a poster presentation with the title of “242 km QKD field test based on energy-time entanglement”, introducing our recent research about long-distance entanglement-based QKD field test. These posters have sparked extensive discussions among researchers. The first one was selected as the “Best Poster Award” of the conference.

This conference aimed to present the latest developments of quantum optics science and technology in China, and discussed the current status and future prospects. This conference also provided a platform for face-to-face academic communication among domestic and foreign experts and scholars in order to further promote the quantum optics science and technology. The conference invited a number of well-known scholars who delivered keynote speeches, and share their findings on the recent progress in the field of quantum optics science and technology.
