The first steering committee meeting of Tsinghua University-Zhuhai Huafa Industrial Share Company Joint Institute for Architecture Optoelectronic Technologies (JIAOT) was held successfully at Aug.26, 2022. The meeting was held online at Beijing/Zhuhai, organized by the Nano-optoelectronics Laboratory, Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University. All the committee members attended the meeting, including Prof. Rong Zeng (Chair of the committee, Vice chair of Tsinghua University), Mr. Guangning Li (Vice chair of the committee, Chairman of the Board of Huafa group), Prof. Yidong Huang, Prof. Shuning Zhen, Prof. Ji Wu, Prof. Xudong Yang, Ms. Jin Guo, Dr. Xinglong Wang, Mr. Quan Jiang, and Mr. Geying Dai. Faculties of the Nano-optoelectronics Lab., Prof. Wei Zhang, Prof. Fang Liu, A. Prof. Xue Feng, and Yongzhuo Li, also attended the meeting.

The JIAOT is a joint research institute of Tsinghua University, sponsored by Zhuhai Huafa Industrial Share Company (CNY 100 million /5 years), and directed by the Nano-optoelectronics Laboratory, Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University. In the first steering committee meeting, Prof. Rong Zeng and Mr. Guangning Li made speeches to celebrate the officially start of JIAOT. The lists of the steering committee members and administrators of JIAOT were announced in the meeting. Prof. Yidong Huang was appointed to the Chair of JIAOT. The steering committee approved the regulations and annual work plan of JIAOT. The JIAOT will greatly promote the academic research and technology development of nano-optoelectronic laboratory on advanced optoelectronic chips.
