The 6th International Conference on Photonics and Optical Engineering (and the 16th Western China Photonics Academic Conference) was held in Xi'an, China, on Aug. 20-23, 2026. Prof. Wei Zhang attended the conference as the co-chair of Track 10: Quantum Optics and Quantum Communication, and delivered an invited talk titled “Quantum photonic chips for Quantum entanglement distribution networks”, highlighting the latest research advancements of our laboratory in the applications of Silicon and TFLN photonic chips on quantum entanglement distribution networks, which had attracted significant attention from attendees.

The 6th International Conference on Photonics and Optical Engineering(icPOE2026) was hosted by Shaanxi Optical Society, Xi'an Technological University, and Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The aim of this conference is to enhance academic exchange and cooperation among scholars at home and abroad, and promote the development of cutting-edge science and technology in the field of photonics and optical engineering.
