On December 1-3, 2023, Professor Wei Zhang was invited to participate in the 5th Young Scientists Forum on Integrated Quantum Photonics and gave an invited talk. The title of his talk was "Photon counting reconstructive spectrometer". In this talk, he introduced our recent progresses on developing photon counting reconstructive spectrometer based on the hybrid integration of superconducting nanowire single photon detectors and on-chip photonic structures. The PhD candidate Xiaosong Ren gave a poster entitled “In-plane spectral encoding structures based on inversive photonic design”. These presentations generated considerable interest among participants.

The Young Scientists Forum on Integrated Quantum Photonics is jointly proposed by Prof. Guangcan Guo of University of science and technology of China and Prof. Shining Zhu of Nanjing University. It aims to build an academic platform for young researchers engaged in the field of integrated quantum photonics, promote related research in China and the implementation of quantum information technology. The 5th Young Scientists Forum on Integrated Quantum Photonics was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province in December 1-3, 2023. The topics of the forum include: novel technologies, principles and methods for integrating quantum communication, quantum information processing and quantum sensing, new materials and technologies for integrating optical quantum state storage, manipulation and detection, and new opportunities for integrating new structures, materials and mechanisms.
