From April 11 to 14, 2024, the 1st International Conference on Next-Generation Electronics & Photonics 2024 (INGEP 2024) was held at Zijingang Campus, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Ph.D student Jingyuan Liu gave an oral presentation titled “Pump management entanglement distribution network with silicon photonics” in the session of integrated quantum photonics, introducing our recent research on constructing reconfigurable entanglement distribution networks. Her presentation was selected as the “Excellent Oral Presentation Awards” of the conference (6 from 125 oral presentations). Ph.D student Tao Xia gave an oral presentation titled “Ultraviolet Spectrometer Based on Metasurfaces” in the session of optoelectronic devices and systems, advanced display technologies, introducing our recent research on miniature spectrometers. These presentations have sparked extensive discussions among researchers.

The 1st INGEP 2024 was jointly organized by the College of Information Science and Electronic Engineering of Zhejiang University and the University of Cambridge. The INGEP 2024 provided a platform for experts, scholars and researchers from all over the world to convene and share novel ideas on next-generation electronics and photonics. In addition, it supported researchers to conduct in-depth discussions on cutting-edge technologies in the industry, share the latest research results, and promote cooperation.
