Professor Yidong Huang and Wei Zhang attended the 26th Congress of the International Commission for Optics (ICO-26) and provided talks
The 26th Congress of the International Commission for Optics (ICO-26) was held in Cape Town, South Africa, from October 21 to 25, 2024. Professor Huang Yidong and Professor Zhang Wei attended and gave talks titled "Nano-structures bring new mechanism of interaction between electrons and photons" and "Reconstructive photon-counting spectrometer and its application on high-dimensional imaging," respectively. They introduced our recent research progress in the interaction between micro-nano structures and free electrons, as well as in single-photon detection and spectral sensing, which has sparked extensive discussion among the attendees.
The 26th Congress of the International Commission for Optics (ICO) is a significant event in the field of optics, where researchers, scientists, and professionals gather to discuss recent advancements, share knowledge, and foster collaboration in optics and photonics. The ICO Congress typically features various sessions and presentations on a wide range of topics, including theoretical and applied optics, optical materials, optical engineering, and technology.
