Yuyao Party Secretary Guirong Fu Visits Our Lab

On January 15, Guirong Fu, Secretary of the Yuyao Municipal Committee, led a delegation to the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University to visit the Nano-OptoElectronics Laboratory. The two parties held in-depth discussions on deepening collaboration between the university and the local government.

During the visit, the delegation first toured the Department’s History Museum. Accompanied by Prof. Huang Yidong, the guests reviewed the Department’s 70-year history of development alongside the nation and learned about its achievements in academic development, talent cultivation, and service to national strategic needs.

Subsequently, the delegation visited the Nano-OptoElectronics Lab. Prof. Huang presented the laboratory’s latest progress in frontier scientific research and core technological breakthroughs. The delegation spoke highly of the laboratory’s robust capabilities in fundamental research and key technical fields.

At the following symposium, Prof. Huang focused on the team’s recent explorations and achievements in technology transfer. The two sides discussed models for university- government cooperation. Secretary Fu expressed his hope to take this visit as an opportunity to leverage Tsinghua University’s research and talent advantages. He aimed to combine them with Yuyao’s industrial base and business environment, to identify strategic opportunities for pragmatic cooperation and mutual benefit. Zhang Chao, Deputy Director of the Domestic Cooperation Office at Tsinghua University, introduced the university’s established models and policies for cooperation with local governments.

Officials from relevant departments in Yuyao and faculty representatives from the laboratory attended the event.
