Optoelectronic Industry Summit Forum – “The Future of Optoelectronic Chip” has been successfully held on September 9, 2026 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center. The forum is co-sponsored by the Department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University，Tsinghua International Center for Nano-Optoelectronics and China International Optoelectronic Exposition (CIOE). Professor Yidong Huang, Department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University, served as the chairman of the forum.

The forum focused on the industrialization breakthrough of innovative achievements in optoelectronic chips and invited five speakers from five optoelectronic chip companies and one investment fund to give exciting presentations. The topic of this forum has a wide spectrum from optical communication to optical interconnection, as well as the application of optoelectronic devices in quantum computation with cold atoms. This forum attracted more than 100 experts, scholars, relevant practitioners, and students to have a deep discussion on the future development of optoelectronic chips, especially the breakthrough of industrialized innovations. We believe that this forum would benefit to tie the relationship between industry and academia as well as to boost the development of optoelectronic chips.

Deng Presidential Chair Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) and Whinnery Chair Professor Emerita at the University of California (UC) Berkeley. She is member of the US National Academy of Engineering and an international member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
