The 2024 Photonics West China was held in Chengdu (China), during Nov. 20 – Dec. 1, 2024. Prof. Wei Zhang attended the conference and give an invited talk entitled “Integration technologies of single photon detection functions on Silicon photonic chips", presenting the recent progress of our laboratory on hybrid Integration of single photon detectors on Silicon photonic chips, attracting widespread attention from participants.

2024 Photonics West China was organized by the Chinese Society of Optical Engineering. It aimed to showcase and exchange new products, technologies, processes, and applications in the optoelectronics field, providing a platform for the integration of academia and industry. Leveraging regional advantages, the conference will enhance international exchanges and cooperation in optoelectronic technology and products along the Belt and Road Initiative. The conference is benchmarked against Photonics West and will utilize local resources, environmental conditions, and policy advantages of the West China to establish a world-class conference. The attendance of this conference was over 1,000 participants.
